1) I'm sorry for being such an awful blogger these past few months.
2) Here's a vlog with me apologizing to you through the computer screen / talking about books
3) In the comments, I would LOVE to know what the last book you read was! Also, what is the best book you've read recently?! I'm so behind on the YA-times :(

ps- that thumbnail is purely by chance :p

  1. There you are! Been wondering about you. I thought maybe you got lost at a college party or something. LOL

Before I read Froi, I need to catch up on the first book. *sighs* I'm so behind on life, too.

Fun room. Glad you've been focusing on university life. That's a good thing. :)

What else? Oh! Have you read The Iron Druid Chronicles yet? So freaking AWESOME! It's UF but still pretty tame(ish).

  2. Aw you're so sweet and I've missed you :-) It sounds like you're having an amazing time and I wouldn't feel guilty about not blogging - have fun and we'll be here where you do have time/feel like it, well I will be haha!!

So happy to hear Froi is amazing, I can't wait!

I'm currently reading The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stievfater and it is amazingly good, I'm loving it. Also just finished Liesel and Po by Lauren Oliver which was a really sweet, old fashioned kind of ghost story.

Have fun and good luck in your finals and midterms.

  3. oh and I LOVE your nails and your lights!

  4. 1. Love your lights!

    2. Don't worry :) and vlogging is a great idea.

    3. You should link to your weekly vlog at Youtube here.

    4. I'm reading Goodnight Tweetheart right now and it's perfect. Fast paced, funny, light, and easy to fit into a busy schedule.

  5. Last book was the unwanteds a MG dystopian
the Best book I've read recently was the scorpio races by Maggie stivater

  6. Hey, you're still alive! :P Good to hear from you again (and yes, I did watch the vlog!)

I totally understand about being busy...I am too these days with my internship, and haven't been blogging to the extent I used to (or reading to that extent either!) I have a stack of books accumulating for review that I need to get to! I haven't been able to keep up with everyone else's blogs the way I'd like to, either, so I am behind on YA news too :(

I'm looking forward to Crossed...I think that one's coming out in a week or so? Legend looks awesome as well.

    And cool Christmas lights! :D

  7. Yayy, a vlog!!

I've really missed your updates, especially since I only found your blog during the summer, so it was like: "THIS IS AWESOME!" and then you had to leave for school. Total bummer, but totally understandable. I'm in my fourth year of uni and just uugghhh, so time-consuming. Definitely don't stress about blogging. :)

As for books I've read that I've loved recently, I finally got around to reading some Melina Marchetta: Jellicoe Road and Saving Francesca and OMMGGG! They were both so amazing and so good. I can totally see why people freak out over Marchetta. I am definitely a fan-girl.

I also read A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness just a few days ago, and it was also amazing. It was so bittersweet.

  8. The Marchetta book is huge so it's almost equivalent to two or three books :)

I've been slacking off on my reading too but the book I just finished was Shade. I put it away twice before but figured I'd try and get through it this time. I thought it was okay but judging from the reviews I saw for Shift, I probably won't be continuing on with the series.

I love the way you've decorated your room!

  9. I MISSED YOU!!!!

The last awesome book I read was Forgotten by Cat Patrick! I figured I would like it but I didn't expect to like it as much as I did! It was SOOOO GOOD! :)

I'm DYING to read How to Save a Life! Unfortunately my Library doesn't have it yet. :P

  10. Wonderful to get an update from you, Audrey. Sounds like your days have been(and still are) crazy busy!

I fell in love with the lights in your room, so nice!

The last book I read was actually a Norwegian childrens book, the best book was hands down Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor :)

  11. You're back! In a vlog, too!

I'm looking forward to Froi of the Exiles, too- I always did like Froi, even though he did that THING in Finnikin of the Rock :|

I've been reading some good books lately- let's hope the goodness lasts for a long while!

  12. I totally understand the whole college = NO TIME for blogging. I think college/university is much more important than worrying about keeping the blog up to date. It kind of comes down to the fact that I'm paying money to attend college that if I don't focus on it and do well, I'm throwing education and money out the window. The guilt factor makes it hard to stay away though. I would rather do what needs to be done for school, and in the free time (whatever is left) blog.

I have the same problem with time so I decided to enlist the help of a coblogger, a friend who I already knew loves books and would gladly help me.

Anywayyyyyyyyy that Melina Marchetta books is HUGE, but she writes GOLD.

Until your next post/vlog then :)

  13. Missie- Awhh, I miss you Missie! And our very intellectual arguments over YA boys!! Oooh, tame-ish? XD haha maybe if I have time!! :)

Alexa- And I have so missed you!! I can't wait for you to read froi so we can totally gush over the loveliness of melina marchetta :p I wasn't all that into Shiver but It's awesome to hear TSR is good-- i've heard lots of positive things :D Thank you and thank you! <3

Juju- awh, thanks! And ooh, that'd be a cool idea :) I could definitely use a funny and light read in between biology readings! lol

kate- Another win for The Scorpio Races! I must check this book out :)

danya- HI!! Aah man, I hope your inernship is going well!! And I know what you mean, I was going to start accepting review copies once I settled down again but it's really not the best option right now :p And I swear, I'm the only person who hasn't read matched yet!

intoyourlungs- HEY!! :D I can't even imagine the workload of 4th year O_o I'm so impressed you're able to keep up your blog! And YESSS MELINA MARCHETTA!!! I'm so HAPPY you liked those books! And DUDE, A Monster Calls was SO SO SO SO AMAZING I LOVE IT <3 See? I miss fangirling books with you awesome people :p

A Canadian Girl- Hehehe, I wish I could count it as such so I feel less guilty about it! I get what you mean by the fact that when my day is done it's hard to read a book when all i want to do is be super lazy XP Thank you!

Julia- I MISS YOU TOO YOU AWESOME LADY! OOOOHHH I kept seeing that around a while ago, i always loved the premise!! And I think it's not released until 2012?? I *think* :P

Mari- Awh, you're so sweet :) Thanks! And omggg I've been DYING to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone, it sounds brilliant!

Rida- I know what you mean, but trust me when I say he redeems himself :) YAY I hope so too!

Yan- I had no idea I'd be THIS busy, and it feels like it's not gonna slow down anytime soon. I know what you mean though, that's what I tell myself all the time-- I am not going to spend this much money and not get the very best education I can. It's just the guilt factor :p I'd love the idea of a coblogger but I've always felt I'm sooo particular about things on the blog.. but DEFINITELY something to think about-- it's a great idea :)

  14. You're back
last book i read crusade in jeans
    best recent book virtuosity

    aweosme to see you :)

(i couldnt wqtch the vlog... our internet is c-r-a-w-l-i-n-g and it won't load.) but judging from the thumbnail, it looks awesome ;)

i have had a lazy blogging patch too :)

i can't even remember the last good book i read? i seem to be doing this currently reading multiple books and none of them really charming me thing :/

    xx Nomes

  16. AWWWW. I totally know what you mean about juggling school work and blogging. I definitely lagged in September of last year (and probably October too) when I first started college. It's TOUGH. And you're so right about the midterms / finals / hanging out with new friends. It's tough to find the time to read. I hope you'll fit reading into your schedule eventually though! :)

  17. Oh, and books... right. Haha, I just finished reading Tempest. I'm now reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. For some reason, I'm in this mood where I'm reallly picky about what I'm reading, and therefore, not liking much. :P

But if I really think about it, I really enjoyed ASHES by Ilsa J Bick which I read a few weeks ago. It's a zombie novel. I'm pretty sure it was my first. and I really liked it! :)

for those who are confused, it means "Don't forget to be AWESOME". *hugs*
